Hi to bros out there,

Have a pair of Rainbow 6.5 component speaker & Helix 2 Way coaxial speaker from old ride. Just wondering is it worth to replace my FD 1's stock speaker without changing stock head unit and no Amp added.

1) Would there be any improvement in sound clarity or just on par with stock speaker?

2) Can the the pair of tweeter installed inside FD1's tweeter compartment?

3) Would bros out there just to replace better speaker over stock speaker?

4) Would the installer spoil the car door whilst dismantling it. Will the door cover out of positioning after dismantling it?

wow bro... u seems to have lots of worries leh... Laughing Think u better stick with your stock speakers as u will not get any better sound using your integrated HU. Unless u r saying the alpine 1DIN HU, then there'll be improvement. My 2cents... Mr. Green

well, you can always get your speakers installed first then hear the sound lor. if not satisfied then add amp lor. but don't have high expectations out of your stock hu.

Hey Mate,
To your questions:
1. I replaced my rear speakers but ran them off the stock HU for a week or so, the stock HU does not have enough power to run them adequately, therefore they are really quiet and arn't all that clear at all

2. I installed my tweeters into the tweeter components, they sound OK but are probably not the best place to put them (anyone with more experience should be able to comment further on this)

3. I wouldn't bother replacing stock speakers unless I was at least adding an amp, or replacing the HU.

4. The installer shouldn't spoil the door at all, I have taken my door panels off a couple of times now without any problems, except i accidentally got a bit of grease onto it from where it holds the plastic sheeting in place behind the cover. But oh well, thats what degreaser is for.

Anyway, as this is my first post, I might hijack your thread and introduce myself - Name is Bryan, I own a Honda Civic in Australia. Been checking out the forums for a while now, since I have just ordered a dash kit for my civic from one of the honda dealers in Singapore (they don't sell these locally). You guys seem to have alot more out there to add to your civics than what we are offered here, it's been good checking it out.

They are my thoughts, hope they help you out.
